Finding joy, even through the hard

I cannot believe that I am nearing the end of my Genius hour project! Time has been absolutely flying and I have really been enjoying the process.

I have to admit though, this week was challenging for me.

During the craziness that is life right now, with me being in school, my husband working full time from home, my son starting grade one...and everything else that is going wrong in the world, it is not the best time to get sick... and guess what? I got sick. Well, myself and my son (thank you school germs) caught a cold, or what we think is a cold. We had to go through that nerve wracking process of the Covid test...and are still awaiting our results. This made the week and this project challenging, since we had very little energy and still had work and school needing our attention. But, when looking at the positives, it slowed my energetic son down long enough to get some extra snuggles and time together, which fits perfectly into the plan for this project.

This week, I focused on trying out my product. I used it and implemented it with my son, which was really fun and meaningful. My journey of growing our attachment and bond through quality time and connection, is definitely paying off and I am already seeing the positives of parenting with intention.

Now, moving forward into our final week, I will be working on a special video that will highlight some of the things that I have learned throughout these 6 weeks, how this research is changing the relationship with my son, and finally, I will be able to share my product with you all!

I hope you have a wonderful week. Snuggle those babies and find time to connect.
